Sussex Propery Finders

Sussex offers many things to most people: opportunities of things to do, places to go, or just a change of scene. Transport within Britain to Europe or further afield is convenient and accessible and London can be reached within an hour!

BUT why Sussex? For families there are good schools at all stages of education and plenty of opportunities for children to develop wide ranging skills and hobbies in their free time. Single people moving to the area often comment that the social scene is inclusive and exciting with vibrant theatres at Chichester and Brighton offering quality performances - on some occasions pre London opening. Glyndebourne, world renowned, and few occasions can match a leisurely picnic with friends in the wonderful gardens before the performance at that magnificent venue. On a less formal level every night is party night in Brighton! Additionally there are social networking sites signposting events several months away but likely to be popular or up to the minute events for evening and weekend entertainment ranging from dinner at one of the many good restaurants in the towns, pub nights, jazz and gigs as well as films, theatrical performances in major centres or small intimate venues . Information abounds.

The long Sussex coast offers encounters with the sea from sailing clubs a plenty, kayaking and swimming 365 days a year: yes Saltdean has an organised swim twice weekly at 7am for the hardy people keen to brave the biting wind not to mention the breakers pounding the shore! The view from Seaford Head has appeared in many films, Christmas cards and personal collections showing the majesty of the chalk cliffs and the power of the sea where the lighthouse was displaced from cliff-top to cliff face one stormy night in.

There are many towns in East and West Sussex as well as countless villages and many have historical links stretching far back into history so there is much to explore. The route of the South Downs Way is a good place to start to explore the variety and beauty of Sussex. Thankfully it is possible to do the walk in stages with minibuses connecting the walkers to the start point for the day and a return pick up for the weary and footsore in the evening.

So Sussex is a good place to live but what kind of houses are there? It is possible to find very prestigious manor houses tucked away up picturesque country lanes yet not isolated from small village communities. Many of the towns and villages have a variety of houses from very grand to very modest and there are still opportunities to find houses which one can put on a personal stamp but still retain the character of the house. If it is a cutting edge design there are examples of forward looking thinking by local or national architects in Lewes and other county towns.

The task of finding a house from a distance can be a challenge and that is where we can help. We are a bespoke company whose sole purpose is to offer clients a premium service in finding their dream house in Sussex and we will be delighted to describe our service.
